About Me

My name is Lucy, I'm 30 years old and I live in the United Kingdom. I have been a Disney fan for pretty much as long as I can remember, and remember fondly the hours I spent watching the films and playing with my Disney toys. Some of my particular favourites were Dumbo, Pinocchio, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and 101 Dalmations; but generally, I just adored them all, and still do! Although I don't have many of my childhood Disney toys (aside from any Pixar related ones), I still remember them vividly such as my Aladdin figure set, or the Lion King playset with the baby Simba whose eyes opened and closed when you moved his arms; or my beloved Beast and Pongo toys from McDonalds; or the time we went on a day trip to London and I bought myself a Hunchback of Notre Dame playset in Hamley's. My love for Disney never faded and although I did take a break from collecting general Disney items for a while, I started again recently though I do mainly concentrate on the Disney Pixar films.

Speaking of my love for Pixar, I still remember seeing Toy Story at the cinema when I was 9 years old, and it was right then that my love for all things Pixar began. My favourite character was/is Woody and I was thrilled when I was given my own Woody doll and quickly set to work making my own box buildings like Andy's in the film and re-enacting my favourite scenes with my toys. I still have my original Woody doll and he still sleeps on my bed after all these years.

My real collection of Pixar memorabilia didn't really begin until my adult years as we didn't have too many toys when I was younger due to affordability and also due to the fact that I was already 9 when Toy Story came out and sadly, even at that young age, people weren't too inclined to get me toys as gifts as they thought I was too grown up.

Even as an adult, my budget is limited so although I do buy some of my toys and memorabilia new sometimes, I mainly collect my treasures at thrift shops and car boot sales which I actually find more thrilling as I never know what I am going to find at them. Sometimes its nothing at all, but other times I have hit the jack pot :)

I love taking photos of toys and have another blog, The Little Cupboard, where I share photos of my Ball Jointed Doll collection which really adds to my enjoyment of collecting them; so I decided to start this blog to help me enjoy my collection of Pixar memorabilia more and share it with other people who may enjoy seeing it. Sometimes I will share images of "new" things I have found when out thrifting, and other times I will share pictures of items I have had in my collection for a while; whatever takes my fancy! So I hope you enjoy it and keep coming back to see whats new :)
